2008 ARC-CSI Crash Conference June 2-5, 2008
Las Vegas, NV
Palace Station Hotel Approved for 27 ACTAR CEU's
The 2008 ARC-CSI Crash Conference was attended by more than 250 professionals
from around the world. The conference featured nine fully instrumented
and documented crash tests at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and 12 industry
experts spoke on various topics, most of which related directly to the
crash testing. In addition, this year we held three workshops that focused
on using the information obtained during the crash testing and integrating
it with real-world accident reconstruction techniques. The crash testing
was conducted at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and all conference presentations
were held at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino.
Everyone attending the conference was able to
video,
photograph and inspect the crashes after they were conducted.
Crash
testing for the conference was conducted by Jud Welcher and Brian Randles
of Biomechanical Research and Testing (BRT), proven leaders
in the field of human subject crash testing together with Rusty Haight
of Collision Safety Institute and Brad Muir from the Ontario Provincial
Police. Together,
BRT and CSI have conducted more than 200 crash tests over the years and
have set the standard in conference crash test conduct together with data
collection and distribution.
